“the battery can be changed about once a day in the power station. Each time, it can run about 230 km. It is very convenient and the cost is lower than charging.” Wang Shifu, a taxi driver, told the Securities Daily reporter during the power change interval.

“due to the reduction of subsidies for new energy vehicles, compared with fuel vehicles, electric vehicles have no longer the price advantage, and the electricity exchange mode can reduce the cost of automobile enterprises.” Wang Xianbin, a researcher at Gaishi Automobile Research Institute, told the Securities Daily that with the increasing number of electric vehicles, advocating the development of power exchange mode at this time can effectively solve the problem of charging difficulty.

in June last year, many departments, including the Ministry of industry and information technology, began to frequently mention and encourage the development of power exchange mode. The implementation of power exchange mode once again triggered heated discussion, which is also an important reason why the power exchange mode has become a tuyere.

“electric vehicle is a policy driven industry. in fact, the power exchange mode is not new. As early as more than ten years ago, the State Grid had tried, but it failed in the end. But now, the State Grid has begun to re aim at the power exchange mode.

on July 27, BAIC group and State Grid Electric Vehicle Service Co., Ltd. signed a framework agreement on deepening strategic cooperation in Beijing. The two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in promoting vehicle electric package and vehicle sales business, battery energy package business, charging and replacing business, green electricity trading and smart energy service business, and capital cooperation.

it is understood that at present, there are two main operators of power exchange mode: one is the third-party power exchange operator; the other is vehicle enterprise operators, such as Weilai and BAIC.

as of March this year, there were 433 new energy vehicle exchange stations in China, among which 216 were Aodong new energy, accounting for 50%, and 123 were Weilai and 94 were bertan technology.

different operators also mean different technical routes and different battery standardization, which is the main reason why it is difficult to popularize the power exchange mode on a large scale.
