Facebook Inc could face antitrust charges in the United States as early as November, the Washington Post quoted four sources as saying. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is reported to have held a private meeting on Thursday to discuss the investigation into Facebook. Meanwhile, state attorneys general led by Letitia James, the New York State attorney general, have been examining the company’s potential threat to competition. Facebook said in August that its chief executive, Zuckerberg, had been heard by the FTC as part of a government antitrust investigation into the company.
