Allstate protection plans has just launched a drop test on the super porcelain glass panels on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models to see if it has quadrupled the protection capability as apple has said. In this test, three angles of front, back and side were selected, and then the drop damage inspection was carried out on the rough pavement of six feet (about 1.8 meters). While mixed, the iPhone 12 series does perform better than any phone Allstate has tested before. < / P > < p > the iPhone 12 shows only a few small cracks (as well as slight wear on the metal shell) when it falls face down. The iPhone 12 pro’s external screen is cracked, but the function is still normal. < / P > < p > when the back falls, the iPhone 12 suffers only minor damage at the edge. The iPhone 12 Pro may still have suffered from its larger size, and the entire back panel has fallen. < / P > < p > for such results, Allstate believes that the iPhone 12 is more durable due to its flat side. As for the side drop, the two models only have metal wear, and other aspects have little effect. < / P > < p > although the super porcelain crystal glass is not impregnable, the performance of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro is better than that of any smartphone tested in the past, including the galaxy S20. < / P > < p > it should be pointed out that even though drop test is a convenient method to test the durability of mobile phones, real life may have more uncertainties, especially considering different drop surfaces, heights, speeds, and tricky angles.
