Garmin announced the launch of the $199 Venus sq and $249 music versions of the Venus sq, two square GPS watches with a 1.3-inch (240 × 240) color LCD touch screen and a panel protected by a gorilla glass 3. These wearable devices offer many of the same features as Garmin’s more expensive Venus smart watch, but at a lower price. Both new products are now available for purchase. < / P > < p > the more expensive Music Edition watch is only that it has built-in storage space, can subscribe to spotify, Amazon music or deezer for a fee, connect to Wi Fi and save up to 500 songs to listen to with Bluetooth headsets. < / P > < p > venu sq’s case is not heavy and is 40.6 x 37 x 11.5mm, supports a 20 mm strap and has a quick release pin system to connect the new strap. Each model has a built-in GPS (supports GLONASS and Galileo to improve accuracy), tracks the user’s movement, and can implement navigation functions. It also has an activity tracking function to record the amount of exercise, a built-in heart sensor can detect irregular heart rate, and the pulse oximeter function can detect blood oxygen, just like those in the new Apple watch series 6 and Fitbit sense. < / P > < p > since Venus sq cannot effectively display all health and movement information on the screen at one time, it relies on making some of the watch’s features (called widgets) into widgets that slide from the top and bottom of the screen. Instead of having to search through long menus, users can specify which widgets can be accessed by sliding. Users can download new apps, widgets and watch panel designs from Garmin’s connect IQ store, a stand-alone IOS and android app. < / P > < p > like almost all other smart watches, this watch can serve as a beacon for mobile phone notification if paired via Bluetooth. When a call comes, it vibrates to remind you to answer or reject. Android users can quickly reply to text messages directly on their watches. One of the things that Venus sq did a little bit better than expected on the $199 smart watch was its support for Garmin pay NFC for contactless payments. This feature is particularly convenient when covid-19 is popular, because the less access to payment terminals in the store, the better.. < / P > < p > Garmin claims that the waterproof performance of the model is 5atm, which means it can survive in the shower and swimming. The venu can last up to 6 hours in music mode (if you’re still listening to music for 6 hours in SV mode). < / P > < p > if you’re looking for a relatively low-cost smart watch that can help you navigate with GPS and is equipped with a large number of sensors, venu sq might be worth a try.
