Apple has encouraged office and retail employees in the U.S. to work from home as a result of the covid-19 pandemic caused by the new coronavirus. The tech giant is also encouraging employees in the retail sector to switch to telecommuting mode as more stores close, according to a report on Monday.
apple did not immediately respond to requests for comment from foreign media. Last month, the tech giant held its first online global developer conference (WWDC 2020).
during the outbreak of covid-19, the company also closed retail stores in many regions of the world, and began to restrict staff travel in early March. Later in the month, Apple announced that it would close all U.S. retail stores on no regular basis.
in May, apple tried to restart the operation of individual stores and strictly followed the social alienation policies of relevant departments, such as requiring them to wear masks when entering stores and keep a certain distance from others.
Unfortunately, Apple was forced to close its retail stores again this month and encourage customers to purchase through online channels due to ineffective control measures in many places and the government’s eagerness to restart the economy, which led to a surge in the number of covid-19 cases.
