Sony’s official flagship store

According to the report, in the fiscal year 2020 (from April 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020), Sony promised to spend $329 million on the release agreement and partnership of Playstation, which will be paid within seven years. This lays the foundation for future partnerships and games between other developers and existing developers in the Playstation studios ecosystem.

The $329 million only covers ps5 exclusive games developed by non Sony’s first party teams, such as “return”, “devil’s Soul: Remake” and “hemp boy adventure”. Sony’s first-party studios, such as insomniac and naughty dog, are not included in the fee, and the three third-party exclusive works of Final Fantasy 16, project athia and death cycle are not included in the fee.

In fy2020 alone, part of the third-party exclusive fee of $329 million indicates that ps5 will support more exclusive works and new games from Playstation studios brand developers in the future. Sony has spent more than $100 million on its largest first party project, but the $329 million contribution to the game will probably be a smaller 3A project, rather than a large exclusive work.
