Hyundai Sanhu heavy industry, a unit of Hyundai Heavy Industries, announced on Wednesday that it had delivered the world’s first LNG powered super large container ship to Singapore’s eastern Pacific shipping company. The new ship, 366 meters long and 51 meters wide, carries 12000 cubic meters of large LNG fuel tank, which can cover the round-trip voyage between Asia and Europe at one time. In April 2018, Hyundai Sanhu heavy industry signed a construction contract for six LNG powered 14800teu container ships with Dongfang Pacific shipping company.
