Gu Qin, chairman of Chengdu Supercomputing Center operation and Management Co., Ltd., introduced that the construction of Chengdu Supercomputing Center was started in August 2019. In less than a year, three core buildings, namely silicon cube, power building and scientific research building, have sprung up, completed the installation, debugging and testing of Chengdu supercomputing host system, and put into trial operation.
“The construction of supercomputing system itself took only six months, which is an amazing speed in the field of domestic scientific and technological innovation. It can be said that Chengdu supercomputing has set a new record in the construction of National Supercomputing Center.” Gu Qin said.
