After completion, its pulsar comprehensive observation capability will occupy the leading position in the world, and will play an important role in the global large aperture radio telescope network observation in the future. < p > < p > Yunnan Jingdong 120 meter pulsar radio telescope project is a major national science and technology project with a total investment of 350 million yuan and a construction period of 3 years. After completion, it will be the world’s largest aperture (120 meters in diameter), fully movable radio telescope. The telescope is located in the area with the best radio environment in Ailao Mountain Wuliangshan National Park, Pu’er City, Yunnan Province. It can observe the largest sky area covering pulsars. The main scientific objectives of the project are to observe a large number of radio radiation signals of pulsars for a long time, analyze the time characteristics of signals, and realize low-frequency gravitational detection, pulsar physics, and theoretical test of strong gravitational field near black holes A breakthrough in basic research is to build an independent high-precision time system in China to serve the needs of pulsar navigation and deep space exploration.
